I purchased a 2024 Hyundai Palisade the salesman Jeremy was great to work with had my car picked it up on Nov. 17 2023 had it 11 days only 400 miles and the transmission started to bang and shift horrible call in to service on Nov 28 2023 was told that they could not take it till Dec 5 2023 took it in and their svr. mgr and took it for a ride he told me he would need the car over night that he would check it out let me know what was needed to repair it two days passed no call from service so I called in to check on it left a message got no call back called again no call back called my sales man he said he would check on it finally 4days later got a call from svr. mgr was given a xx line that they are working with hyundai tech to get issue fixed took the 17 days to determine that the transmission was bad they had to get a new one after a week I called to see about it left message no call back I called every one in their upper managment could not get a return call finally spoke with Mike McGlumpy told him every thing that was going on he said he would take over and get this taken care of well 35 days later I got the car back it still does not shift properly has a vibration in steering and a rattle under the car and paint scratched off under the hood was told to bring it back took the svr. mgr. for a ride he heard the noise under the car felt the vibration and bad shifting told me to leave it they would take care of these issues two days later was told it was ready went to pick it up nothing was done told me a flashlight in glove box was rattle went to car to go home now my hood has dents in it I went to the svr. mgr he came looked at it said he didn't know how that happened he would take care of it he did get the dents out of hood but smeared paint on scratches under that doesn't even match now this is a wonderful experience With a $54000.00 dollar vehicle they lie, and never call you back! This is really a shame that I have to take the time to write this place a bad review. They have left me no other choice. I've made so many calls and left voice mails with zero response. My late father purchased an extended warranty when he bought his car at this dealership. He sold the car before he passed away. I knew he was entitled to a pro-rated refund, so went thru the grueling process of contacting the extended warranty company called EasyCare. Most people, including my father would not have known to do this. But it's in the fine print in the contact. READ your contracts people! This was started way back in the middle of December 2022. They advised me the refund would be sent to dealership and allow 5-7 weeks. Well, it's now nearly the end of April and have got nothing. It's extremely frustrating. Not to mention I should not be having to put all this effort into something like this. It should be a simple and straight forward process. I don't care if this was a $20 refund. I will not let this go and I will be there worst enemy. I already filed a claim with the BBB. My next plan of action is a complaint with the consumer protection agency. This problem is not only this with dealership. I have personally had this issue with another dealership. They are just very reluctant to give you this money, because warranties are part of finance peoples commission.

In the past year, I have been unsuccessful trying to schedule service appointments on a Saturday. I own one vehicle and work Monday -Friday so cannot drop my car off during the week. I just called for a service appointment & was told they are booked every Saturday through the rest of the year. They do not offer loaners and their shuttle service starts 2 1/2 hours after I start work. While I love my car, I will never purchase another vehicle from Cochran. The warranty is worth the paper it was wrote on if you can’t get your car serviced.

I went to the west liberty Hyundai with only a little hope but mike and the rest of the amazing staff went above and beyond and got me an amazing deal along with the car I wanted and all the nice new features I wouldn’t of thought of it was a great experience and I recommend everyone to visit this friendly & welcoming staff who always looks out and go above and beyond
A truly despicable experience with their service Dept. Outright lied about work needing done and I have the parts and msgs proving so. Absolute criminals so be warned. In addition their phone and online systems are completely useless. I wouldn’t go near this place for a set of wipers let alone a car purchase

Overall I had a wonderful experience buying my first car. Gabe McNeal did a great job and provided excellent costumer service. Everyone was friendly and made me feel comfortable. The second manager who counted my money was a bit of a jerk but I was just excited to get a car so I ignored him. I forget the name of the man who detailed the car but he was also very personable and made the experience a bit better.

Joe Newman went above and beyond to make sure that we found a vehicle to fit our growing family at number one Cochran. However, as part of our deal on oct. 29th, we were told that the last payment from our previous lease would be covered and we would receive and reimbursement check. About three weeks later, we were asked to come in and resign contracts. At this time, we inquired about the reimbursement check and were told we would receive it within 10 business days. We never received it, it’s now the first week of January. I have called and left numerous messages with the sales and finance team and never received a call back and I was unable to get in touch with anyone directly. This is poor customer care and I honestly feel like we were lied to. My previous lease was with number one Cochran Nissan, and I had nothing but good experiences with them. I will advise all of my friends and family not to take up business with number one Cochran Hyundai, and I will be ending my relationship with them at the expiration of this lease. ***UPDATE after numerous phone calls and bad reviews I finally got a call back. They resubmitted the check and it came in the mail today January 7th.

The whole experience with #1 Cochran Hyundai was extremely positive. Gabe McNeal was helpful and professional from the moment my family and I walked through the door. He was happy to answer any questions and make any accommodations needed, even outside of working hours. He did an excellent job matching what I needed and wanted with what was available. He is a great asset for the dealership to have, and I will certainly be back to purchase my next car with him. The car was spotless when I picked it up as well. The detailing crew did a great job getting it ready. All in all, it was a great experience from start to finish.
To whom it may concern: I was at a Hyundai dealership (South Hills Cochran) in Pittsburgh, Pa on Friday, October 19th to inquire and possibly purchase a Santa Fe Ultimate (2016) certified preowned. I was going to trade in my Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland (2011). This is not the first Santa Fe that I owned. First, I was told that they don't negotiate the price, they felt the price offered was what the KBB states the car should sell for. Second, they told me that they would inspect my car and offer me the Cochran price or KBB, whichever was higher. In addition, I did bring the KBB price on my SUV to them. The price ranging from $15,400 to $17,300. South Hills Cochran offered $14,000. I also brought multiple prices from surrounding dealerships of what a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland was selling for in the 150mile radius ($20,000). He was attempting to rationalize his pricing of $14,000 based on auction sells of Jeeps, most of them Laredo's, with mileage between 150,000-190,000. My Jeep had 69,000 miles on it. Third, I stated to Joe, the salesperson, to run my credit check prior to working "the numbers" because I have an excellent credit rating, and my Jeep has an interest rate of 4.7. I knew it would be lower considering it was a 2016. He said no. What??? I did not understand why. So, he and Josh, decided to work the pricing on the Santa Fe with an interest rate well over 6.6%, giving me a monthly payment well over $520 a month. That was outrageous. I took my keys and left. After getting home that evening, I emailed Josh, and I still have the email and his response. I calculated the monthly payment using the exact same figures given to me by them and submitted the email to Josh. He (Josh) reviewed my email and my figures and stated that the monthly payment I submitted was accurate.He also, offered me $15,000 for my Jeep. As you can see by an attachment from KBB my vehicle is worth more but I was willing to accept his last offer. So, I filled out a credit report for him, figuring we can now work a deal, and I can buy this vehicle . So, on Saturday, I called him from work and informed him that I have to work 3 twelve hour shifts and was unavailable to come into the dealership until Tuesday. I offered him my initial down payment of $500 to hold that vehicle. He said he does not hold vehicles. So, needless to say, he texted me and said it was sold. I wanted you to know how this dealership initially dealt with my wife and myself, when this process could have been handled differently from the start with a fair trade-in value and an accurate interest rate and monthly payment, instead of all the games played between salesman and manager. It truly is reminiscent of "good cop, bad cop" scenario. It is truly a shame considering multiple family members own Hyundai's, and I feel this was definitely bad business practices.
